A half-day, in-person course 

This interactive core study day is aimed at the GPN and the experienced HCA whose job role and scope includes leg assessment/ doppler.  We will look at a holistic assessment followed by practice using a handheld Doppler test. 

Aims

During this session we will cover:

• Principles, rationales and core elements of assessing legs and common conditions
• Introducing the national plan for best practice
• Practical demonstration of leg assessment/ handheld Doppler use
• How to translate the Assessment/Doppler into appropriate care planning
• How to recognise who to refer to if need
